Eventual updateyness...
Well, after Lily died, I didn't want to be in contact with anyone. I'm finally out of my funk, but there's still a problem. If you recall in an earlier post, I mentioned my arms were bothering me. That's why I still haven't read ANYONE's LJs since the recent problems. Even the little I'm on to handle email and stay in Popomundo causes my forearms to ache and my hands to hurt. I've been trying exercises and fish oil capsules, but so far no luck. Anyone have any other suggestions to try and get me internet capable?

Maybe there's nothing for it but rest. Have you tried voice-recognition software? My friend tried that in college when his wrists and arms started hurting him...but I don't know how well it worked.

Oh! You can try phone posting maybe. Then we'd have to do the work. ^^

Hope you feel better!

I WANT to check my friends page, though, and phone posting won't really solve that. And voice software seems a bit extreme, don't you think? My main problem is more the mousing than the typing...

Glucosamine and chondritin? (It could still be a joint problem...)

(Or maybe I can ask Clare about making it a Joint problem...)

Frittersfritters on November 18th, 2005 08:39 pm (UTC)
I can only imagine the comments I'd make if we made it a Joint problem.... I'll try to get some of the minerals again, it has helped with other things in the past....

Hey You! Great to see you online, I've been wondering how you were, glad you dropped in for a short update, sad to hear you are so sore!

Do you know what's causing it yet? If it's carpel tunnel or something similiar I highly highly recommend going ergonomic, saves many aches and pains.

I have a rollerball or trackball mouse, hard to get used to at first but a dream after that. A friend of mine actually bought a mouse that worked like a pointer somehow... Or perhaps a tablet or something a little different.

I also have a natural keyboard which saves my wrists amazingly! Again, hard to get used to at first but can't live without it after. :D

After I started working at my new place I began getting aches and pains from my neck to my wrists and sholderblades.. I think it's this cheap shit keyboard and mouse. ;)

Frittersfritters on November 19th, 2005 04:51 am (UTC)
Can cheap shit really do that? I recently got a massively cheap wireless keyboard and mouse and the keyboard you have to hit the keys REALLY hard and the mouse is massively heavy. Could that be the problem? I like the trackball or pen pad idea. didn't the keyboard drive you insane, though? I never took a typing course so I don't use the right keys...

Perhaps some over the counter arm braces or something?
Fritters: Ed Thinking by Frittersfritters on November 18th, 2005 08:52 pm (UTC)
I've always wondered, not that it's not a good solution, it probably is, but does that solve the problem or is it a stopgap so you can do more damage?

I like heat. It increases the blood flow to the area. I would get a couple of heating pads and sleep with my arms resting on them. Or get the stick in thermacare thingies, and stick them to the top or bottom of your arm, whichever hurts worst. The heat should penetrate through. They are about 6 bucks a box of three, and can last for over eight hours. Soak in a hot bath when you can too.
Frittersfritters on November 18th, 2005 09:04 pm (UTC)
We got a heating pad, perhaps I could rest my mouse arm on that. And I was wondering actually how much little arm sleevies would work, you know, like arm "leg warmers". I suppose I should massacree a sock or two, eh?

You tried those foam/silicone arm rests for in front of the keyboard and maus and such? Apparantly they seem to help. And sometimes you can get wristy-brace things that hold your arms inner bits in proper place and make the RSI or whatever go away quicker...

I'm begining to get similar problems from doing way too much data entry at work =/

Yeah, I've been using the foamy things, but thanks for the suggestion ^_^

Sorry for the sudden strangeness, but it was a very closed post 'cause it's still a real big mental problem for me. Basically dry food that gets old kills cats. My third one, actually. Maxie seems better so far, though.

Hmmm sounds dodgy indeed :S
I just suddenly lost all my hype on popomundo and im getting HAMMERED in the artist rankings ¬_¬

Wow, ALL your hype? What ranking are you? I thought you were focusing on business right now? And I finally have my own company ^_^ But I don't want to buy a hotel 'til I have a CEO and I can't FIND one =~(
