IT IS!!

The last time the house was sprayed for bugs, I recall, is the day my email was hijacked and you were also having another "exceptional" day.

We should probably not plan anything important for Dec. 21st.

I get paid that day. It's my Christmas/New years/rent check.

O.O

Eek. Is it possible you'll just get a smaller bonus?

I'm still trying to get the spraying moved to the 14th, so you never know...

Go, You!

I wrote "The Cake Is A Lie!" on the board in Illustration the other day, but no one seemed to get it. It stayed up, though, so maybe others will appreciate it.

I'm thinking of making an icon with a cockroach...

"I feel fantastic
and I'm still alive
When you're dying I'll be
Still alive
and when you're dead I will be
Still alive!"

I like the idea but roaches are icky.

Yes they are.

I was thinking "We haven't had any since October! We killed them all! We're safe!" But of course I found one today while I was cleaning, waving his little antennae at me. So apparently the spraying only knocks them out for a few weeks and we're running to stand still.

Sorry. Sorry.

Issues today. Ignore me.

Ouch... it's just one thing after another for you, isn't it? I don't know how you manage to keep chugging along in such a positive way. I'm glad you never lose your great sardonic humor.

The sardonic is easier to hold onto than the humor. And it's wonderful you think I'm hanging on, it makes me feel like I'm not dragging everyone down right now.

*hug*

Mainly it's just getting embarrassing to have huge clouds come pouring out of the car while stalled at a green light.

...well, at least it's moving; for the brakes to go out...

(Crankcase chemicals got another 2 years out of my old gray thing...)
Fritters: Collegefritters on November 17th, 2007 01:27 am (UTC)
Considering my budget, I'm looking at scooters again, although carrying around a huge portfolio is being prohibitive.
postrophe on November 17th, 2007 06:48 am (UTC)
Um, did the brakes go out as it died? Maybe you have a loose vacuum hose to the power brake unit; losing vac can screw with the motor...

OTOH, I still have that old scooter at my mom's...
Frittersfritters on November 17th, 2007 07:18 am (UTC)
Wouldn't that be too expensive to fix?

And its a power brake thing. Anytime she idles low she loses the power and you have to slam to avoid hitting anything. Like in parking lots... parking lots full of college kids who never look before crossing because they are invincible.
postrophe on November 18th, 2007 12:32 am (UTC)
Yep.. power brake unit not getting enough vacuum, and engine dying at idle... maybe you should look at the power brake vac hose to see if it's sucking outside air instead of brake helpage...
