Hunley...
For those of you who have ever doubted when I said "My cat, Hunley, is crazy," let me point out he is now on the top of a tall bookcase, bent almost backwards, so that he can scratch at the ceiling.

The gravity! I has it!!!

You've seen him on ultra-crazy mode, haven't you?
Vocabulary/Back Scritchesspazzychic on February 15th, 2008 01:06 am (UTC)

Yes, yes I have. :)

Hehehe! Go LordCat!
Fritters: TT BB ergh? by ellonwyefritters on February 15th, 2008 01:06 am (UTC)
He's scratching at the crack where the wall and the ceiling meet, like he expects it to open and let him into the Land of Meat or something...
bunnyshortagesbunnyshortages on February 15th, 2008 01:19 am (UTC)
Lol! Corner hunting! My cat does that too! Well she sometimes runs to corners and attacks them as if they give a shit or something. It is humerous =)
Fritters: Cat LOL by Frittersfritters on February 15th, 2008 01:25 am (UTC)
That's the whole reason we have the little weasels. They're so entertaining ^_^

cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!
Dessie Octavia: You expect ME to believe THAT?!dessieoctavia on February 15th, 2008 01:07 am (UTC)
I never doubted you. I've had a lot of cats, and all of them have been crazy, though admittedly I've only had a couple who could've competed with Hunley in the crazy arena.
Fritters: Jay Nodding by Frittersfritters on February 15th, 2008 01:08 am (UTC)
I would love to hear your war stories, seriously.
Dessie Octaviadessieoctavia on February 15th, 2008 01:26 am (UTC)
Heh. Well, for starters, I lived out in the country when I had a lot of cats, so I would keep one window open so they could go in and out as they pleased. This is why I know that you don't truly understand the concept of "waking up" until you have had four cats chase a bird over your bed at 6 am.
Fritters: Cat LOL by Frittersfritters on February 15th, 2008 01:41 am (UTC)
That's hilarious!
Dessie Octavia: Black Catdessieoctavia on February 15th, 2008 01:56 am (UTC)
And then there's the way Penny played with the alarm clock's electrical cord until it fell on the floor, and then she bit the little things that stuck out from the back of it, meaning she set my alarm clock and it woke me up the next day.

And the way Tigress used to lick my earlobe when she got the chance - you cannot imagine how much that tickled.

And the way Jinx used to hide under the furniture and reach out and swat our ankles as we walked by. One day she was under the hassock (she was the only cat small enough to fit), and one day while she was under there, Nico started sharpening his claws on it, and she reached out and swatted him. Nico jumped about six feet and fluffed his tail till it was almost as big as his body.
Fritters: Cat in silly hats by Frittersfritters on February 15th, 2008 02:03 am (UTC)
Penny sounds hilarious. Jinx sounds DANGEROUS! I would have loved to see Nico's reaction, though.

Are the panthers the closest you have to a full time cat now?
Dessie Octavia: Jewish Catdessieoctavia on February 15th, 2008 02:06 am (UTC)
Penny was hilarious. She was always into something. Jinx wasn't really dangerous, she just got a kick out of being able to squeeze into places none of the other cats could.

Yes, the panthers are my only cats right now. The herd thinned out; most of them are dead, except for two who live with my former roommates - they're happier there than they would be with me. And I'm not in any hurry to get more cats. Pugsley and Wednesday are enough for now.
Fritters: Jay Nodding by Frittersfritters on February 15th, 2008 02:27 am (UTC)
They do seem the handful. Especially Pugsley.
lironesslironess on February 15th, 2008 06:39 am (UTC)
Does it count if it is 2 am and four of them are doing train impersonations, chasing each other over the bed, repeatedly? BTDT. They later got locked out of the room that night.
Dessie Octavia: Black Catdessieoctavia on February 15th, 2008 06:42 am (UTC)
Heh, you win.

I used to have a plastic bookshelf that could be disassembled and reassembled next to my bed. Also, when I was younger, I was a very sound sleeper. One morning I woke up to find the bookshelf all over my bed, in pieces, plus the contents of it. I saw this and closed my eyes and went back to sleep; I was not prepared to deal with that day!
lironesslironess on February 15th, 2008 08:05 am (UTC)
Wow that is awesome! I feel the same most days but it is my emo, not a bookshelf.

Sounds like they were playing the feline version of Stuff on my Human

No-no; for a cat, that's completely normal!
Fritters: Cat Goes Pbtht by iconfetishfritters on February 15th, 2008 05:07 am (UTC)
We've never had a cat with quite this amount of crazy. They've all been saner.
postrophe on February 15th, 2008 08:03 am (UTC)
Me and my old college roommates would entertain ourselves with a good game of kick-the-ceiling... does that count?
Frittersfritters on February 15th, 2008 07:16 pm (UTC)
Were you allowed to be on any furniture or was it freeform?
postrophe on February 16th, 2008 05:34 am (UTC)
It required a concave corner and a running start... and practice landing.
Fritters: Zim google-eyes by inanefritters on February 16th, 2008 08:52 pm (UTC)
I'd have loved to see that.
krystalemerges on February 15th, 2008 05:31 pm (UTC)
what no...
picture post???

btw, I am glad cats are doing better, Gwen was off her food that day too, so something was up, someone mentioned the weird weather pattern probably affected them all...and as you can see, I am slowly catching up with the LJ stuffese...
Frittersfritters on February 15th, 2008 07:48 pm (UTC)
Re: what no...
His crazy comes in spurts and is therefore hard to photograph ^_^

I'm still worried it was something in the food. What do you feed your kitty anyways?
krystalemerges on February 15th, 2008 08:04 pm (UTC)
Re: what no...
don't know how off the kitty was with his food (dry only and available all the time...and it is Costco brand) Gwen is the dog and she has a new dry food, California Natural is the brand, they do have dog and cat, canned and dry available. It was recommended to me, and three other people have seen the bag and made positive comments on it.
http://www.naturapet.com
the website lists retailers, I got mine at C&C in Burbank, but there are C&C's in North Hills and Canoga as well...I was recommended to buy from them as it is a discount pet supply location.
