Mod Help Again...
New set of icons, and once again, I need you to help me. I need you to tell me which ones you can't read the text on or can't make out the picture in.

This is an Alphonse Mucha set. He did a lot of pictures where he personified seasons, times of day, gems, concepts, astrological objects, etc. as Hot Women. So I made a bunch of icons. Not my best set, but I'd like to think not my worst, either. Also, if you like any of these, the prints are available lots of places. In any case, rules.

CREDIT IN KEYWORDS! Put the word "Fritters" SOMEWHERE in the pictures keywords/comments so that it shows up by the picture in your user pic page. If you do not know how to do this, either ASK ME HOW or DO NOT TAKE THEM. Simple, huh? I don't even ask for comments. They're NICE, but no, you don't hafta.

So, behind the cut.

Seasons (i.e., Spring)
Astrological Objects (i.e., Moon)
Gemstones (i.e., Topaz)
Day Times (i.e., Dusk)
Concepts (i.e., Dance)
Other Objects (i.e., Flowers)

Yippie! They are beautiful! I want 'em allll!

4 is a little difficult, but still readable. In 32 November looks squished at the end.. but still readable.

This is an amazing set, how I love Mucha's work!
Frittersfritters on March 18th, 2005 10:38 pm (UTC)
I'm glad you can read it all. It probably wouldn't have been done for another couple of weeks if I hadn't known you were expecting it, in all honesty....

Cool, thanks!
perlee_grace on March 19th, 2005 02:10 am (UTC)
Oh wow, these are *gorgeous*. I think I might nip one for mine and for my other LJ (with proper accreditation of course!)

"November" is a little hard to read in #32, and I find it hard to read "dance" in #26, but they're all stunning.
perlee_grace on March 19th, 2005 02:14 am (UTC)
OK so I'm replying to my own post, but I'm nipping #24 (for my other journal topaz_eyes and #32 for my own LJ. Thank you thank you thank you!

I didn't have any problems with any of them, pics or text.

BTW, did you add the text? 'cause if you did, I was wondering if I could get 'dance' without the text? Or did you delete the bases already?
Frittersfritters on March 19th, 2005 03:21 am (UTC)
Oh, I ALWAYS delete the bases, usually the second the icon is made. It's a bad habit from when I was on the mac and had no hard drive space. Got a lot of them. But since without the text I think all I did was put it in a circle template, I can remake it.

Hey I was wondering if you could help me out with putting text on icons. I found alot of lyrics I like and decided to try my hand at making icons since I've made several sprite edits but the text just isn't coming out right. None of the tutorials I've read help though because I have adobe photoshop and the programs just arn't the same.

I do everything in adobe, what problems are you having?

I had other comments on 15, so I didn't release that one to the quality group....
OwlDragonowldragon1 on March 28th, 2005 11:49 am (UTC)
I've seen the picture for 27 somewhere before, and really liked it, but if I were to use it, I'd prefer a textless version. Oddly enough, it reminds me of the same emotions I feel when I read a certain poem. ;)

The poem is by JRR Tolkien, and I only know if it because years ago I was able to gather up some Tolkien books, a couple of which I'd never even heard of before. That was at lasfs, when someone's collection was damaged in a fire, and they were selling it off. Sure there's some minor black marks on the covers and stuff, but while that makes the resale value go down, it doesn't affect the reading value.

I'd quote a few lines from the poem, or at least give the right title and book, but I'd have to search around for a bit first to find it. Maybe later?

*wanders in at random and falls in love with this icon batch*

There can never be too many Mucha icons, and these are particularly good. I like the texts, and nope, none of them are unreadable.

Taking the Moon one, because that's my favourite Mucha painting. Will credit. :)
