Hay fritters ,
Do you know why thay re going away? If i knew the reason why the show was going away i would be more inclined to sign a petition. For example if the acters are done and not wanting to act any more, I would be greatful for there good run and go support the show by buying it on dvd. If the company pulled it for the time slot for a new show I would rant and grawl and bite.

richard deen anderson , is he still on the show? I had hurd rummor that he retired. I watched it until i started collage 2 years ago, about that time Deen had moved to being the general.

So if you have more information on the Why the show is getting the boot, canyou give us a link?
Fritters: SG1 - Which scifi are we in?? by samertifritters on August 22nd, 2006 08:17 pm (UTC)
Just low ratings. But they've had less advertising for the show than normal AND they just got onto the downloadable ipod stuff so in theory it should be picking up again. And Richard Dean Anderson IS off the show but he did a cameo in the last episode so he still drops by ^_^

Here's a link with more info on the cancellation...

You'd think that of all networks, Scifi would be the one to *not* trust Nielsen ratings. Those things are based off an "average" family, not off the huge audience of scifi addicts.

That and advertising. They really need a marketing advisor with a clue who can sort their shit out for them. Someone like me...

Stargate SG-1 is the *sole* reason I paid to keep cable television once it was in my hands to pay for cable. Without it, there's no reason for me to keep it. I don't think I'd bother if it was just Atlantis, and Eureka isn't good enough for me to keep TV over. Besides, once I get a torrent program, I'll be able to see the new Doctor Who shows long before Scifi ever bothers airing them.

So, if they don't keep it, I might get rid of cable TV entirely. :(
