Ya know, since I'm sort of on a morbid vein right now, I'd go visit the crusifixion, and make a weekend of it. Ya know, just to see what happened, and take pictures.

Then I might go visit my funeral in disguise.
Frittersfritters on October 12th, 2006 10:18 pm (UTC)
That's interesting. If you weren't feeling morbid, then what?

And interesting that you mention the crucifixion, I'm reading one of those Bible-in-a-Year things and the poor bastard got nailed up just last night....

Oh oh But I did learn latin. Obviously even with my latin, it would be weird... anyway, I would still choose Cesar's Rome! Ah Mark-Anthony at last *-*... *had watched too much HBO-Rome*...

Maybe also the Italian Renaissance. Just to visit Leonardo da Vinci and MichelAngelo ^^.

I have to admit I would like to just sorta hang out while Michaelangelo insults the Pope.

Y'know, I'm not rightly sure. But knowing me, I'd end up visiting the Renaissance just so I could see how accurate (or inaccurate) Faire clothes are, or other similar oddball things.

I'd have to put some serious thought into it at this point. And hell, I might jump back in time and visit a few people more before they died, too. I'm always short on time, after all.

16 November 1908, New York, Metropolitan Opera House. Arturo Toscanini makes his debut as conductor there in Verdi's Aida (sorry, Elton John not born yet), with a cast including Emmy Destinn and Enrico Caruso.

That bit from Dane Cook's stand up pops out at me. "I'M YOUR DAUGHTER! *spank* I'M YOUR DAUGHTER FROM THE FUTURE!! *mad laughter*"

I think I'd go back to find out more about my lineage, my great grandparents that came to Canada from England, where they were shipped out as orphans. I'd love to know where we came from BEFORE that. :|

This was the only icon I had that seemed appropriate...
First the future, to avail myself of some of that awesome medical technology.
Then... everywhen/where else.

not to be superficial...
but the first thing that popped in my brain was to go back and see Yul Bryner perform "The King and I" on Broadway...wouldn't change the world or me, just make me happy...

When I was young Mom took me to see him perform it in downtown L.A. It's a good choice, not MY first choice, but you'd enjoy it ^_^

To the future a week today, find out next weeks lottery numbers and then come back. Ill have loads of money. I'd then go to Japan, maybe like 1200's maybe the future, both :D
Fritters: Ed Peering by Frittersfritters on October 14th, 2006 06:14 pm (UTC)
Lottery! Good choice! On the other hand, if you went back into time you could get priceless relics and sell them, too. Or go to the future with things that will probably be worth money. The moneymaking possibilities are pretty damn endless, eh?

Early morning of May 5, 1998... an apartment in Tokyo... to at least try changing the accidental death of someone I really admire. :-S Um, unless it was a deliberate accident; then... well, shit. I'm not sure what I'd do. If he really did want to die, then it's not my place to stop him. If he didn't, though, then fucking hell I'm doing my best to change it. o_o
