C'mon back. I've added monkeys to the post. Everything is better with monkeys.

Yeah, I added the icon last night, cats with bad grammar always do it for me...

Bummer! Simple gastric cancer is much less of an interesting death than being poisoned by a cabal of Italian necromancers hired by his sister. She was pissed because she was married off to the King of Naples. And he only liked to screw sheep and squid. So when she took lovers from various regiments of his Albanian troops, he had them killed. And she got very angry and hooked up with a coven of south Italian occultists. She bore a grudge long after her brother was defeated and managed to get two of the coven inserted onto St. Helena using the cover of Savoyard astronomers from the court of Rudolf V of Wallachia. They poisoned Napoleon's suppositories.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Nice story! You should write ~_^

I was hoping for the poisoning angle, too, it was much cooler than cancer. But there you go...

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to find out the arsenic was something used to treat his condition. It was used for everything else, up to and including a beauty aid.

That's an interesting point.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arsenic#Applications

"Arsenic trioxide has been used in a variety of ways over the past 200 years, but most commonly in the treatment of cancer."
