Wrapped up in a warm comfy blanket called the past...

Well, earlier my day sucked because I had to go to N. Hollywood for no reason, and later I have to go to N. Hollywood for no reason AGAIN (all about the car, not postrophe's fault...) but right now I am feeling noooooo pain.

A lot of people who read this remember L.A. radio in the late 80's-early 90's. There was a station called Pirate Radio and I loved it, but they were a bright shooting star, they appeared with a blaze and burned out quickly, leaving a hole in the ether that was felt for some time (some still say today...).

Well they are back and on the internet. I've got them streaming at 128k right now. Now, the late 80's music wasn't my favorite, but lord knows it's the least overplayed. I think we've ALL heard enough of The Romantics "Talking in Your Sleep", haven't we? But is it even POSSIBLE to hear enough Guns 'n' Roses?

Today they've played Twisted Sister, Thompson Twins and right now is Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start The Fire"...whoops, now it's Faster Pussycat. Mmmmmmmmm, hair bands. I know a lot of people make fun of hair bands and yes, in retrospect they looked pretty stoopid sometimes, but the way someone looks doesn't automatically make their music suck. Who among us hasn't felt the need at the end of Bill and Ted #2 to sing along with Kiss in their hair phase and belt out "God Gave Rock Amd Roll To You"?

If YOU want to be wrapped in this lovely coziness go to http://www.kqlz.org/stream.html. Highly recommended.
