I finally found a version of My Humps that I like....
If you haven't seen the Black Eyed Peas video for My Humps yet, go to watch it now.

That's okay. We'll wait.

Done yet?

Okay, now here is Alanis' version...

She made it not totally suck! But ah, the way she draws attention to the mediocrity of the lyrics. Brilliant. Plus two for humor and style.

I have been the proud owner of an actual butt for almost a year now, and I remember a time when having more than small butt was a bad thing...

I love that women are finally celebrating the "Lump". Of course I much prefer the second version, and I keep thinking how fun it would be to use to do a final in the belly dance class that I used to go to. The audience is 99% other students and the teacher. Plus they have been trying so hard for so long to make belly dance acceptable and PC that it can be very dry prim and proper. I would love to make my dance a celebration of my bumps, in a style that I can only think to call cutesy sassy ballet fusion. But this would just be for the class or private....don't want the other dancers to lynch me! Damn, I may have to get a full time job just so I can afford to go back to school and do this! Plus I have the other unmentionable lady lump to celebrate, my belly! I think I will wear a spandex dress with lots of sequins and maybe some fringe. Covers, but you can see the shapes.

P.S. My butt finally grew in when I stopped dragging my heals. Weird huh.

???? Before you had an "actual butt," what did you have?

Well, I, can't actually say that I had nothing at all, but it was refered to in our family as the typical "Lindsay" butt which is to say, not much. It was not quite flat, but men would complain that I was boney of I sat on their laps and at the time I weighted 95 lbs. It was also very out of proportion as I had BIG boobies then this tiny butt. I would wear poofy skirts to balance out a bit. Now all of me is pretty cushy and I like it.
