The Fourth
Max has just ripped two small holes in the 50 point drawing that I've spent 12 hours on already and is only half finished. I can either turn in a lightly ripped (and deeply creased paper) or not sleep at all this weekend.
Current Mood: beyond description

Assuming I understand the situation:

when telling teacher dog ate my homework, it is always better to have damaged product in hand with promise of re creation.

sorry to hear of damage. it is a piece of you when something is created.

I'm hoping it's small enough that she won't notice, it's not HUGE, but you CAN see it. Maybe if the rest of it is good enough she'll be too stunned by the quality to see the flaws?

Is there some way to patch it up? Is the drawing part stil in good condition? Meep! For an assignment, I would imagine it's more that you show that you can do it even if you didn't fend off the cat too well.
Fritters: Art by Frittersfritters on April 12th, 2007 11:39 pm (UTC)
Yeah, it's not RUINED but you CAN see it. I'm just gonna cross my fingers that it's small enough to be overlooked because I'm a little over halfway done and this is hour 13 0_o

I have GOT to learn how to do these asssignments faster. This is supposed to take about 6.

ugh...here postive thoughts that it will be so stupindus (hehehe) that the cat marks will just be part of the artistic touch...try to re-create a feline work of well...

really, I hope it will be okay, as it is obvious how much effort you put into your assignments...

I'm done, now, and thank God, it looks okay. (Hell, he helped me on this one). Took me a total of 17 Damn Hours for a 6 hour assignment, though.

That reminds me of a story.

My girlfriends Dad was/is a painter, in his way, and one day he was making a big painting for some competition and just about when he was done, he spilt a glass of water or something on it, thus rendering it crap (in his eyes anyway). So he handed it in, and called it "The flood." And won first place.

It made me lol

It was partially my own fault, too. He had jumped up on it and my first reaction was to make a hissing sound so he'd leave ASAP. Well, he certainly did leave ASAP.

Channel the cat, be the cat....

Often in the past my mistakes have turned out to give my work flavor and charecter, so I don't stress about them as much anymore.

Something that is "perfect" can look machine or factory made....I prefer the flavored kind.

I don't think I have to worry about my drawings being too perfect!
lironesslironess on April 13th, 2007 10:02 pm (UTC)
Plus perfect is in the eye of the beholder....

I liked the ones that you posted before.
Fritters: Art by Frittersfritters on April 13th, 2007 10:41 pm (UTC)
I posted drawings? I don't THINK so. Two are on deviantart, though.
lironesslironess on April 14th, 2007 03:01 am (UTC)
