Yesterday my transmission went out. It will be 2000 dollars to fix it. School starts Monday. I still owe mom 2,600 for fixing this car and she can't loan me anymore.

I have no idea what to do and I'd elaborate on everything, (I was planning on it) but it would just be too depressing for you. Or for me. I'm not sure which.

It does nothing in any gear. It revs. The end. No go forward, no go back.

I'd love to, assuming I can transfer my insurance. And would she be okay with it?

How soon will you need it? When does school start?
Mom originally said to "sell it, put it somewhere, whatever you want to do, I won't be using it anymore" but I didn't want to just get rid of it... ..not sure if you need to or can transfer insurance if you don't own it.

That problem sounds like a pump failure - something basic that disables everything. Did this happen suddenly or did it build up? Did it work ok before?
Gotta ask around about fixes...

School starts Monday, at least if I'm attending the summer school I signed up for.

It happened suddenly, we were on the fwy at 65 and all of a sudden lost power and the engine revved really high. Had to coast to the edge. It worked MOSTLY okay before, but it clanked when I changed gears manually sometimes, although they say it's because of the fact I need a new motor mount too 0_o

It HAD stopped clanking the day before, which may have been a sign of something??

Should I call Progressive and see if they can insure me on "everything I drive"?
