Today's Celeb Encounter and Potpourri...

I apparently go to the same optometry office as Liz Vassey. Unfortunately, I had NO idea who she was and couldn't IMDb her at the time, or I would've been all "OMG YOU MET BAD HORSE WHATS HE LIKE IN REAL LIFE??" like a spaz (because it's funny!) I can tell you unequivocably, though, that when you're in the same room as someone who works in the "industry" you feel really amazingly fat. 0_o

No, seriously. I think I gained 30 mental pounds just sharing the same air as her.

We all know one. A friend on our LJ F-list who posts good articles. Good long articles. Articles we want to read but sometimes have trouble slogging through, despite our interest. Now, there's a solution!

Paste the article text into it and it will flash the words in one place so you don't get lost, keep it at a reasonable speed so you don't drift and you can pause it if real life interrupts. I found myself paying a lot more attention to articles than normal and getting through them faster as well.

Check out this image and tell me the name of the magazine.

Of all of your friends, I am sure that you know that I know the name, and that no, it does not give me back my geek status, but running around last year dressed as a spartan just may have. Did I ever send you the pictures?

I have now been on tv three times. I saw the shows, and I KNOW that I am not that fat. It looked like I had gained 30 lbs. I have photos of the same times in the same costumes and I look chunkie fine, like usual. On tv I look like I put on the costume, then took a bicycle pump and added air until the costume was straining at the seams. Now I understand why people on tv have to be at least 30 lbs underweight to look normal on screen...

I know I had SOME pictures other than my own but not many. How many did you have? And yes, the lines you are thinking along would give you the correct magazine name. But it's still a horrible cover.

The worst part is she didn't look 30 pounds underweight. She looked awesome. And then I wandered to the restroom filled with mirrors 0_o

Feelin' Fluffy.

This also reminds me of when I took dance lessons at Orange Coast College. Awesome teacher, but it was hard to look at myself next to the tiny skinny teenagers.

I found a spot on the mirror that was very slightly concave, and that is where I stayed the whole warmup. And I am 10lbs heavier now......

The average female in America is 5'4" and weighs 163. Feel better? I do :)

I was dressed as one of the 305 from youtube....I am 306. I worked in the shop where the guys rented their costumes and wore one if the capes from the video. I had a man chest with a sixpack, and did my face with beard stipple. I ran around all night screaming "Sparta" and "Tonight we dine in HELL" and I had a blast. My helmet fell off a couple of times though.

The costume is a lot more comfortable than the other, sexy woman costumes that I have. First time to cross dress for me. Ask fritters or thudpucker they were at the party.
