A is for Art...

In graphic design class we were all assigned to make an abecedary with only the letter A. We were to design the book and order it from an online company and it was to have an "A" from each member of the class in it, while we were graded on the book layout and design. The teacher said he didn't care about our actual letter design. Well, I did. And I put a metric buttload of work into it. So I thought I would post it here. To see it full size, right click and open in a new window/tab, I've got it at 50% so it doesn't wreak havoc on your friends page.

I would give y'all a link in case you wanted to buy my book, but the bleed was too far on all the edges, so I'm reducing all the graphics and ordering another copy to see if it fixes the problem or leaves blank areas. After I'm sure the book prints well THEN I'll make it so any friends who actually want a big pile of art student "A"s can get one.

Still not sure what the point was of making each student's project include the work of all the other students...

A: There Is No Asteroid

And we included the work of the other students so we all didn't have to create 30 different graphics in a 3 week period 0_o The front, back, title page, layout and letter were enough, let me tell you. As it is, I custom designed each facing page so as not to clash with each artists style.

I was wondering if he graded by comparing how you handled each others' pix...

I wish he did! A lot of people forgot to credit right or shrunk down the art a lot.

I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts that at least one person in the class screwed with your graphic and removed the Confederate Flag Alabama...

I dunno. He was pretty specific about not messing with anyone else's artwork. On the other hand, no one caught my spelling correction in someone else's.

Yes! When you're old and gray, you will go about with a Sharpie, correcting spelling and grammar on business signs!
