The first day back to school.

Thankfully, my first class is after 5 pm, so I can simply lie back in bed, and listen to the rain.

And the jackhammer 30 feet from my head.

This time it's not our apartment getting the hammer, but having a jackhammer this close to your head doesn't do a lot for relaxation. So of course, the upstairs neighbor decided to combat it with playing his stereo loud. So not only do I get the jackhammer sounds non-stop (and they shut off all the water, too) but I also get deep loud bass thumps throughout the apartment.

I can see an anxiety attack from here...

I didn't expect my first day back to school to be perfect, but I wouldn't have minded being able to see perfect from there.

Playing with the idea of headphones and singing Patsy Cline at the top of my lungs.

EDIT: These people NEVER TAKE A LUNCH BREAK! And I can't find one of my cats.

Meep. That really sucks. I hope they stop making noise soon.

Right now I'm singing Billy Joel's Pressure, the cat is screaming and the other two are missing 0_o

Thanks for the sympathy, it really does help.

I say go for it. My friend Pat and I were next to a car that goes boom once. He had his windows open. So Pat found a classical station and cranked it up. The look on the guys face was epic!

I've done the same with bagpipe music, and have a friend that's done it with Chinese Opera.

I can possibly guess who did Chinese Opera ^_^ I think it's a natural human reaction to fight back on these sort of things.

I love doing that, but my music isn't that loud, therefore headphones. I do have to watch myself, though. There are certain songs I probably shouldn't sing too loud.

LOL. Once, years ago when I was young and skinny there was a really long line to get on the freeway. I had my windows open (no AC) and was singing to my Oingo Boingo tape at the top of my lungs, well at least half way. I remember singing "wild sex in the working class" and shortly after heard someone yelling hey, hey you in the honda. There was a semi behind me. I heard this guy say what are you doing, you dont even know what she looks like and the other saying i don't care. It was so funny. So I decided there were enough people watching that I was pretty safe so I got out of the car so he could see me and he freeked out and begged me to take him home. I told him that his truck would not fit on my driveway and that my street was a no truck street then I got back in the car. It was sooooo funny.

I demand youtubes of this and Patsy Cline action.

My camera has no sound, so youtubes would be woefully deficient.

Come on out and we'll karaoke.

In what application?

Bad singalong?
Frittersfritters on February 10th, 2009 04:15 pm (UTC)
Not distracting enough for me. Don't particularly like Manilow.

I meant for Them. (I knew people who used Manilow as birth control...)
