Itty bitty picture post...
Three pictures from late winter this year, behind the cut. Nothing personal, just some of the better shots I've gotten recently.

A neat bird...

...and one of the reasons I like going to Pierce College. It's got an agro program, so we have parts of the campus that look like this.

That one's a bit blurry, but it was too pretty a day not to show it off.

I know in your post you mentioned that these are pictures you took this winter, but they sure feel like spring to me!

Thanks for sharing, I needed something cheery on my dreary Monday.

It's California. There are no visible signs of winter, only temperature changes...

BTW, the bird and campus I saved for myself as widescreen desktops.

Hee- Hubby and I just returned from our vacation in Florida. They have the same thing there- although, the natives tell me they can tell it is spring because the leaves are a *different* shade of green! It made me laugh the first time I heard that.

I love my seasons!

I have lived without them- we lived in Naples, FL for 2 years, but I always missed them. But, I was much happier living in Boulder, CO or Anchorage, AK with the changing seasons. It helped contain my wanderlust.

I don't know that I'm settled on living in MI for the rest of my life; but I do know that wherever I move to next (we're thinking blue ridge mts area next) needs to have two things- open water and seasons!

I'm just looking for the open water. I think I'd go nuts not having a coast.

Me too! I really liked pretty much everything about both CO & AK- except for the water. In CO most of the water was rivers- and rapids at that. In AK the ocean was just a wee bit too much most of the time, and actually, the rivers were too. It's still quite a bit wild up there. :-)

It's a nonsequitur, but I thought of you just now when I saw a TV commercial for a movie entitled "Sunshine Cleaning." One shot shows an actress (Amy Adams?) holding a Siamese kitten.

Out of curiosity, I Googled some and found that the kitten is in a scene where it is rescued from a fire. The Humane Society (I think) monitored the filming of the scene to ensure that the kitten was never in harm's way at any time -- clever editing apparently did the trick -- and even trained the actress in the proper and safest way to hold the kitten.
