Torn....

On the upside, some nice people in Canada have offered to put me up if I visit.

On the downside, the airfare is 300 something round trip.

On the upside, it's only 86 dollars each way to Vancouver on Amtrak.

On the downside, I'd need to spend money to rent a car to get to Calgary.

On the upside, I'd LIKE to have a car and even have rental car coupons for 20% off.

On the downside, that costs more money.

On the other downside, the actual train only goes so far as northern Washington and it's all bus from there.

On the upside, I could simply take the train to Seattle and stop and visit Amber.

On the downside, it's that much further I'd have to drive to Calgary and more expensive because I'd need more for food and lodgings and gas and longer car rental.

On the upside I could not only see Amber, but meet all her little Seattle buddies.

On the downside, if I do any of this, I probably won't be able to afford a new camera which I really really need.

On the upside, I've almost never travelled and this is a great opportunity, especially before I start school because after I get in the workforce it will be a lot harder to get unlimited time off.

On the downside, if I go to Canada I'll really NEED a new camera.

As you can see, I'm pretty damn confused. But also very interested in going a-northways.

Argh.
